John Pittman has 36 years’ combined experience in asphalt and concrete, including the residential flatwork & light commercial concrete industry & residential asphalt industry.
As a hands-on foreman & superintendent of residential concrete for Calgary & Edmonton’s construction industry for the last 22 years, fulfilling both track and custom home builders, John had a reputation of being a “type A personality”, delivering a superior, sound and timely project to his builders and homeowners with a track record of extremely minimal deficiencies in his 22 year career.

If a project required diligent and superior formwork knowledge, or a custom project was especially difficult, they sent in John to take care of it knowing it would be excavated, formed and poured and handed back to the customer with pride and assurance. John Pittman understands what it takes to deliver superior concrete services, done right, the first time.
John Pittman’s career in the construction industry started as a custom & spec home builder in Chilliwack BC for 8 years, before moving to Calgary in 1998 and he brought along with him this great scope of residential construction processes. His unique perspective, his hands-on experience and his project management expertise sets him apart from other concrete contractors in that he not only understands the job at task, but the full scope of trades before and after the concrete is formed & poured. If something is going to be a problem for the client once the concrete is poured, John knows what to look for, what to advise the client about and what future issues a client may or may not be aware of.
Little issues that can become big headaches for a client are on John’s radar such as; proper slopes around a foundation, proper drainage, window wells that meet Alberta Building Code, setbacks, and even planning for future landscape lighting, irrigation and electronics with underground sleeves before pouring your concrete walkways. Setting your walkway and patio heights on a difficult sight to allow for future retaining walls and landscape features and avoiding future drainage and flooding issues is on his radar.
